Madurai: Tirukoshtiur Madhavan, a priest at a temple at Tirukoshtiur, yesterday (Feb 07, 2005) said that he only suspected that Kanchi Seer Jayendra Saraswathi could have instigated four personnel of the TVS group to assault him.

He told newsmen at the High Court bench complex in Madurai that he had been criticising the Seer for "interfering in the affairs of the Tirupati temple and Tirukurungudi temple and hence the Seer could have asked the TVS personnel to assault him".

Cases have been registered against the four personnel and the Kanchi Seer in connection with an assault case against him.
