Girl in porn CD is Anara Gupta: CFSL scientists Wednesday, February 9 2005 16:48 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Chandigarh:
Scientists at the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) in Chandigarh have examined the pornographic CD sent by Jammu and Kashmir police "frame by frame" before coming to the conclusion that the girl in the film was Anara Gupta.
The over one hour-long CD, sent by Jammu and Kashmir police to the laboratory on January 23, was examined minutely and the girl in the CD was Gupta, sources in the CFSL said today (Feb 9, 2005).
They said the scientists were not aware whether the same CD or some other was sent to the laboratory in Hyderabad, which cleared the former Miss Jammu's name in the case on January 5.
There is no scope for super imposition or addition of anything in the CD, they claimed adding it was examined frame by frame before coming to the conclusion.
The Director of the institute, Dr R S Verma, however, declined to disclose the contents of the report.
When asked about the report, he merely said, "We have received the CD from the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Jammu. (We) examined it in our laboratory and sent the report to concerned authorities."
"I do not know what procedure was adopted by the Hyderabad laboratory," Verma told reporters.
The CD received in Chandigarh was "CD-R" in which no matter can be added later on unlike a "CD-RW" in which matter can be added at a later stage.
The CFSL report was sent to Jammu and Kashmir police on February 3 after a detailed examination.
The report was of three pages, but many documents, including still photographs, had been attached with the report, the sources added.
