AP lab stands by its earlier report on Anara Gupta Wednesday, February 9 2005 19:35 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Hyderabad:
The Andhra Pradesh Forensic Science Laboratory, which had given a clean chit to former Beauty Queen of Jammu Anara Gupta in the alleged porn CD case, maintained its report was "correct".
APFSL director Dr K P C Gandhi told reporters in Hyderabad "We had compared the CD as per forensic biometric studies from head to toe, including the fingers and toes and the hair line. We found the lady featured in the blue film was not the same appearing in porn CD sent by J&K police".
"APFSL is an ISO 9001 and 17025 certified Laboratory of international standard and the report was based on its investigation on the said standard. We have examined the CDs sent by J&K police to know if the person shown in the porn CD and photographs and special clippings are of the same person," Gandhi added.
J&K police had sent the CD and photographs to APFSL in the last week of December 2004 to ascertain whether the girl appearing in the photographs and controversial porn CD was Anara.
Following this, APFSL had submitted a report in January this year, stating that the girl appearing in porn CD was not the same appearing in photographs and clippings.
When asked to comment on the report of Chandigarh Forensic Laboratory that the girl in the CD was Anara Gupta, Gandhi refused to comment.
