Propaganda by 'secular gang' in Geelani case: BJP
Friday, February 11 2005 11:58 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) today (Feb 11, 2005) slammed allegations against police over the attempt on the life of Parliament attack accused S A R Geelani as "propaganda by the secular gang".

"The attack on Parliament was one of the most heinous terrorist strikes in Indian history and a case is pending before the Supreme Court. In the Shankaracharya case, the secular gang says the law should take its own course. But why are they trying to make a hero out of Geelani," party's deputy leader in Lok Sabha V K Malhotra said.

Accusing the "secular gang" of always adopting an anti-India stand, he charged them with levelling baseless allegations against police and others and thereby indulging in "misleading propaganda".
