Tuesday, February 15 2005 13:08 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Kabul: External Affairs Minister K Natwar Singh arrived in Kabul today (Feb 14, 2005) on a daylong visit after initially calling it off following reports of bad weather in the Afghan capital.

As his special Indian Air Force aircraft left New Delhi for Pakistan, a message was received about weather being clear in Kabul, following which he decided to continue with his original schedule to visit Afghanistan.

Singh is scheduled to call on Afghan President Hamid Karzai and hold talks with his counterpart Abdullah Abdullah before flying to Islamabad this evening on a bilateral visit to hold talks with Pakistani leaders on Indo-Pak ties and confidence building measures that included opening of Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus service.
