Geelani case: Police to file report by next week

New Delhi: The Delhi Police today (Feb 15, 2005) informed the Supreme Court that it would file a status report next week regarding its probe into the murderous attack on Prof S A R Geelani, who was acquitted by the Delhi High Court in the Parliament attack case.

Responding to an application filed by Geelani seeking CBI investigation into the case, senior advocate Gopal Subramanium appearing for the police stated before the court that the statement of Geelani was recorded only yesterday (Feb 14, 2005) and police will take a week's time to submit the report.
