Jalandhar: Punjab Technical University will confer PhD degree on NRI industrialist and chairman of UK-based Caparo Group of Companies, Lord Swraj Paul tomorrow (Feb 17, 2005) in recognition of his excellence in the field of manufacturing industry.

Lord Paul, specialising principally in the manufacture and supply of steel and engineering products for industry, would be conferred upon with the degree at the convocation ceremony to be held at National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education Research, Mohali, University sources said.

Chief Minister Amarinder Singh would be Chief Guest on the occasion and deliver the convocation address, they said.

Besides Lord Paul, about 150 students, who have excelled in various disciplines of engineering technology, management and pharmacy, would also be given medals and merit certificates along with the degrees.
