Yet another unique e-initiative in Karnataka
Thursday, February 17 2005 15:50 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Bangalore: In yet another novel initiative to bring the benefits of e-governance to people, the Law Department in Karnataka has put on its website details of movement of files.

Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, H K Patil said that the public need not run around the offices to monitor the movement of files in the law department, he told the press in Bangalore.

The move would not only bring transparency in administration in the law department but also help avoid delay in disposal of files, he said.

He said that he has decided to draft 11 senior civil judges, attached to legal department for disposal of 21,000 pending files.
