Naxals blast police picket in Bihar; no casualty

Aurangabad: CPI (Communist Party of India-Maoist) activists blew up an 'abandoned' police picket at Mehdi village in the Uphara police station area in Bihar's Aurangabad district today (Feb 17, 2005).

The police said that heavily-armed Naxalites attacked the picket with dynamites razing its building to ground.

No casualty was reported as the securitymen posted there, were deployed for election work elesewhere.
