Khirjri Assembly constituency has the maximum number of 10 booths directed for re-poll followed by Hatia (6), Mandar (4), Silli (2) and one booth each in Ranchi, Sesai, Ghatsila, Chaibasa, Manoharpur and Chakradharpur.

The re-polling was necessitated due to various reasons like defective Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), delay and disruption during polling. However, the date for re-polling is yet to be finalised, the sources said.

The third phase of polling for the 81-member Jharkhand Assembly is scheduled for February 23. While elections for 24 constituencies were held in the first phase, the second phase witnessed polling for 29 seats.
