Tainted RJD MP Mohd Shahabuddin granted bail

Patna: Patna High Court today (Feb 18, 2005) granted regular bail to controversial RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) Lok Sabha member from Siwan, Mohammed Shahabuddin in connection with the abduction and murder of CPI-ML (Communist Party of India- Marxist Leninist) leader Munna Choudhury.

Justice Rajendra Prasad allowed Shahabuddin's application for bail in the case.

Shahabuddin was recently shifted to Beur jail in Patna from Siwan following the Election Commission's directive.
