Pakistan Foreign Minister Khurshid M Kasuri on Thursday (Feb 17, 2005) briefed the envoys of European Union, G-8 and P-5 countries on his talks with Indian counterpart Natwar Singh and the India-Pak agreement to run Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus service from April 7.
He apprised them of the agreement between the two countries to allow travel by bus between Muzaffarabad-Srinagar across the Line of Control (LoC) on special permit, a foreign statement in Islamabad said.
The meeting was arranged at the request of the envoys. Kasuri briefed them on various subjects discussed by the two Foreign Ministers and expressed his resolve to carry forward the Composite Dialogue Process with India in a constructive spirit with a view to seeking a peaceful settlement of all outstanding issues including the issue of Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that the Government of Pakistan, under the leadership of President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, was committed to carry forward the dialogue process.
The Ambassadors expressed their special thanks to Foreign Minister Kasuri for the briefing and also expressed their happiness at the positive outcome of the recent round of talks between Pakistan and India, it said.
