Celebrate Feb 27 as liberation day of Bihar: BJP Sunday, February 20 2005 17:44 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Motihari (Bihar):
The BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) president, L K Advani, today (Feb 20, 2005) exhorted the people to vote out the RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) in Bihar and celebrate February 27 as the end of Rabri-Laloo 'aantank raj' (terror regime) in the State with the same enthusiasm with which the countrymen celebrate the Independence day.
''February 27 will be an historic day in the annals of Bihar when the people will be freed from 15 years of RJD's ill governance. The people will be freed from the RJD's misrule,'' Advani said.
He charged the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh with inducting about half a dozen people with criminal background in the Central Ministry to remain in power.
Holding the Congress, an alliance partner of the RJD Government in Bihar, equally responsible for the bad condition of the State, Advani said that the Congress had bailed out the RJD Government by opposing the President's Rule in Bihar which was promulgated by the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) Government to rid people of the State from the RJD's 'misrule'.
He asked the UPA to oust Ministers from Central Cabinet facing criminal charges. The very support to the RJD in the State gave ample proof that the RJD and the Congress were hand in glove, Advani told the gathering.
