Campaigning enters last leg in Bihar and J'khand Sunday, February 20 2005 20:20 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

The high-voltage campaign for Assembly elections in Bihar and Jharkhand today (Feb 20, 2005) entered its last leg before it winds down tomorrow (Feb 21, 2005) setting the stage for the third and final phase of polling which will decide the fate of Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi among others.
On the penultimate day of of electioneering, the star campaigners were former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Jharkhand and BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) president L K Advani both of whom targetted Congress.
While Vajpayee, addressing a rally in Dhanbad, accused Congress of betraying the cause of a separate Jharkhand State, Advani who appeared in a series of meetings in Bihar, charged the party with tacitly backing RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) "misrule" and sought to ridicule Congress President Sonia Gandhi's complaining of lack of development in the State.
An estimated 2 crore 65 lakh voters are eligible to exercise their franchise in the last phase of polling in the two States scheduled for February 23.
