Mumbai: After eight days he was detained in Dubai, the family of actor Vijay Raaz is still awaiting news about him.

According to a family friend Padam Singh, the wife of the actor is yet to receive any news about him.

"She is in a bad shape and we are all helpless. All that we can do from here is that we can pray," Singh said.

Meanwhile, filmmaker Vikram Bhatt told sources in Mumbai that he also did not have any informtion about the actor.

Raaz was detained at Dubai airport on the morning of February 13 where he had gone there to shoot for movie "Deewane Hue Paagal."

Raaz is known for his roles in movies like 'Prarambh', 'Jungle', 'Monsoon Wedding' among others.
