Goa Cabinet suggests date to seek confidence vote

Panaji: The Goa Cabinet has recommended February 28 as the date to convene the Assembly session for seeking vote of confidence.

The Cabinet has recommended to the Governor S C Jamir to convene the one-day Assembly session on February 28 to seek the vote of confidence, Cabinet Minister Dayanand Narvekar said in Panaji today (Feb 21, 2005).

The decision was taken on Friday (Feb 18, 2005) and the recommendation has already been conveyed to the Governor, he said adding, now it is upto him (the Governor) to take a final decision on it.
