Mumbai: The city police today (Feb 21, 2005) arrested eminent social worker Medha Patkar near Malvani at suburban Malad in Mumbai.

"We have arrested Patkar," Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), D R Karale said adding, the arrest was made in connection with her protest against the recent slum demolitions in the metropolis.
