New Delhi: The Supreme Court today (Feb 21, 2005) posted for hearing tomorrow (Feb 22, 2005) a case filed by Haryana's ruling party candidate seeking postponement of counting of votes from February 23 to 27 to include nearly one lakh postal ballots.

The petition filed by Jile Sigh contended that either the entire process takes place on 23 or if the counting takes off on 23 then results should not be declared till 28 to take care of the postal ballots.

The Election Commission (EC) had recently advanced the counting date to 23 evoking sharp reactions from Haryana Chief Minister and Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) chief Om Prakash Chautala.
