Bombs exploded in two constituencies of Bihar while a landmine blast killed a special task force personnel in Jharkhand as polling began for the third and final phase of Assembly elections with an estimated 10 per cent turnout till 10:00 hrs (IST).
In Bihar, 93 Assembly constituencies reported an estimated eight to 10 per cent turnout till 10:00 hrs (IST), while seven to 10 per cent votes were cast till that time in 28 seats of Jharkhand, official sources said.
Anti-social elements blasted two bombs near a booth in Brahampura locality in Muzaffarpur town to intimidate the voters, but no casualty was reported, official sources said.
Another explosion was reported behind a polling station in a school in Danapur much before the polling started. Nobody was injured, police said.
