Seer case: Remand of accused extended to March 10 Thursday, February 24 2005 13:58 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

The remand of all the 24 accused in the Sankararaman murder case, including Kanchi Seer Jayendra Saraswathi and junior Seer Vijayendra Saraswathi, was extended till March 10 by a Magistrate's Court in Kancheepuram, and the copies of the chargesheet filed in the case was once again not given to the accused.
All the 24 accused in the case were present in the first class judicial Magistrate Court of G Uthamaraj today (Feb 24, 2005) to receive the copies.
While Jayendra Saraswathi arrived in Kancheepuram from Kalavai in Vellore District, where he is residing after being granted bail by the Supreme Court in the murder case, Vijayendra Saraswathi, who was also given bail in the case by the Madras High court, came from Chennai.
