New Delhi: Congress today (Feb 25, 2005) said President A P J Abdul Kalam's address to the joint Session of Parliament reflected UPA (United Progressive Alliance) Government's promises in its National Common Minimum Programme (NCMP).

"President's speech reflected what we have promised in our NCMP", AICC (All India Congress Committee) general secretary Ambika Soni told reporters outside Parliament when asked to comment on the speech.

She said Congress expected that all the alliance partners in the UPA coalition to cooperate fully for the implementation of the NCMP.

Asked about Government's move to prepare a white paper on the status of minority community in the country, Soni said all these issues were clearly mentioned in the party's manifesto as also the NCMP.
