If it's deadlocked, we may support Paswan: Jaitley
Sunday, February 27 2005 12:28 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: With Ram Vilas Paswan's LJP (Lok Janshakti Party) emerging a key player in Bihar, BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) today (Feb 27, 2005) hinted that it was not averse to supporting Paswan forming the Government in a situation of "deadlocked" Assembly.

Spotlight: Elections-2005

"If you have a deadlocked Assembly, not just a hung Assembly, one of the options is to negotiate with someone who can form the Government," Party General Secretary Arun Jaitley said when asked whether his party would support Paswan to form a new Government to keep RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) out of power.
