The 'decider' Paswan neither with BJP nor with RJD Sunday, February 27 2005 11:22 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Patna:
Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) chief Ramvilas Paswan today (Feb 27, 2005) said that his party would neither seek nor extend support for formation of a Government led by either Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) or the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-Janata Dal-United (JD-U) combine.
"I am once again making it clear that the LJP will neither seek nor extend support for formation of a Government led by either RJD or the BJP-JD-U combine and will rather prefer to sit in the Opposition," said Paswan.
He also talked about imposition of President's rule as among one of the alternatives in event of any of the alliance not securing a majority.
He expressed confidence about the Congress-LJP alliance forming the next Government on its own strength.
"At least take it for sure the LJP will not commit the sin of paving the way for return of the corrupt and ineffective RJD regime or back a communal Government led by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA)," said Paswan.
