'I will stand like a rock on my stand to oust RJD' Sunday, February 27 2005 14:28 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Patna:
With the election results signalling a hung house in Bihar the ruling RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) today (Feb 27, 2005) said it would seek the support from like-minded secular parties as the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) for forming the Government, which was rejected outright by LJP President Ram Vilas Paswan.
''I have already said LJP will neither seek nor extend support for formation of a Government led by either the RJD or the BJP-JDU (Janata Dal United) combine. I will stand like a rock on my stand to oust RJD,'' Paswan said when mediamen approached him.
Earlier during the day, RJD spokesman Sivanand Tiwari and Union Minister of State for Food Akhilesh Singh had said the party would approach Paswan to seek support for forming the Government.
Of the results of 66 out of the total 243 seats declared so far RJD and its combine has won 22, BJP-JDU 23 and LJP 4, others 17.
