Monday, February 28 2005 22:08 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Patna: With Bihar elections throwing a fractured mandate, Governor Buta Singh today (Feb 28, 2005) said he would abide by the Constitution.

''I will abide by the Constitution in inviting any combination of parties to form its Government'', Singh told reporters at Rajendra Ghat on the banks of Ganga where he had gone to pay homage to the first President of India Rajendra Prasad on his death anniversary.

''Any decision that I will take will be without bias'', he said.

RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) President Laloo Prasad and the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) leaders, including BJP national Vice President Sushil Kumar Modi had said Singh should invite their respective combination first in the exercise for Government formation.
