CPI-ML urges Governor not to invite RJD or NDA
Tuesday, March 1 2005 19:18 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Patna: The CPI-ML (Communist Party of India Marxist- Leninist) (Liberation), having seven MLAs, today (March 1, 2005) requested the Bihar Governor, Buta Singh, not to invite either the RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) or NDA (National Democratic Alliance) to form a new Government in the State.

Spotlight: Elections-2005

''We request you not to invite any of the two parties to form the Government in Bihar as the people have rejected both of them in the just-held Assembly elections,'' the party said in a letter to the Governor.

The letter, a copy of which was made available to the press, is signed by the CPI-ML's State committee secretary, Ramjatan Sharma.

When contacted, Sharma said that a two-day meeting of the party's standing committee has been called in Patna on March 3-4 to discuss the Assembly polls and decide the future course of action. Party general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya would also participate in the meet, he said.
