'President's salary & allowances to be Rs 6 lakh'

New Delhi: Rs 6 lakh has been earmarked as salary and allowances for President A P J Abdul Kalam for 2005-06.

The outlay for the President, his secretariat and household establishment has been pegged at Rs 17.33 crore, an increase of Rs 38 lakh over the 2004-05 revised estimates.

While there is Rs 10 lakh increase in the expenditure for the President secretariat, other expenses have been hiked by Rs 28 lakh to Rs 13.26 crore.
