Naxals blast forest guesthouse in AP, one injured

Warangal (AP): A CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) constable was injured in exchange of fire with the Maoist naxalites after they blasted a Forest Rest House at Tadavai mandal headquarters of the district late last night, police said today (Mar 1, 2005).

About 20 naxals blasted the rest house with claymore mines completely damaging it, sources said.

Police rushed to spot on hearing the blast and fired at the ultras fleeing from the spot. The exchange of fire continued for about ten minutes in which a CRPF constable was injured, police said.

The injured has been admitted to the MGM hospital in the city.

Police seized four claymore mines and a kit bag from the spot.
