I will seek confidence vote before March 28: Rane

Panaji: Goa Chief Minister Pratapsinh Rane today (March 1, 2005) said he would seek a vote of confidence before March 28 when the budget session of the State Assembly is proposed to start.

Rane told reporters in Panaji that the cabinet at its meeting here recommended that the budget session be convened from March 28 and "I will seek the confidence vote before that."

Rane could not seek a trial of strength on the floor of the House yesterday when in a Speaker and the Deputy Speaker resigned from their posts.
