Congress gives letter of support to RJD in Bihar Wednesday, March 2 2005 15:33 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

The Congress today (Mar 2, 2005) sent a letter to Governor Buta Singh extending the party's support for formation of a Government led by RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) in Bihar, party sources said.

Bahadur sent the letter of support to RJD supremo Laloo Prasad which was received at the CM's house this afternoon, the sources said.
Bahadur in his letter pledged that all ten MLAs of Congress would extend support to RJD in forming the Government.
Laloo has also received a separate letter of support from the one-member CPM (Communist Party of India-Marxist). While the CPI (Communist Party of India) is likely to send its letter supporting the RJD chief later this afternoon, the sources said.
