NDA adopting 'fascist' tactics in Jharkhand: Jogi Thursday, March 3 2005 17:23 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Ranchi:
Senior Congress leader Ajit Jogi today (March 3, 2005) accused the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party)-led NDA (National Democratic Alliance) in Jharkhand of 'fascist' tactics by 'confining' its five independent MLAs and not allowing them to meet the public.
"They have confined all their five MLAs. No one is being allowed to meet Independents Harinarain Rai and Enos Ekka," Jogi, a former Chattisgarh Chief Minister told newsmen at the airport before leaving for Delhi.
Rai and Ekka, who had already been paraded before Governor Syed Sibte Razi by the NDA, also figures in the list of supporting independents presented by UPA (United Progressive Alliance) leader Shibu Soren at Raj Bhavan.
Asked about Congress President Sonia Gandhi distancing herself from the Governor's action, Jogi said he was unaware of it. "But I have seen that the BJP has unleashed terror in Jharkhand."
