NDA parades MLAs before Kalam to prove majority Thursday, March 3 2005 19:40 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

The NDA (National Democratic Alliance) today (March 3, 2005) paraded 41 MLAs from Jharkhand to prove its majority in the 81-member Assembly before President A P J Abdul Kalam who assured them that he will do whatever he can after his meeting with Governor Sibtey Razi tomorrow (March 4, 2005).
After heading a delegation that accompanied the MLAs- 30 BJP, six JDU (Janata Dal United) and five independents, BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) President L K Advani said a demand was made that the Shibu Soren Government should be dismissed, NDA leader Arjun Munda be sworn-in as Chief Minister and that the Governor should not nominate the Anglo-Indian member to the House before Soren's confidence vote.
He said the President told them that he had heard the NDA delegation yesterday and the MLAs today and has called the Governor. "I will talk to him. Then what I can do I will do," the President was quoted as saying by Advani.
