Bhupender Singh Hooda will be new CM of Haryana

New Delhi: Congress MP Bhupender Singh Hooda will be the new Chief Minister of Haryana.

57-year-old Hooda, a Jat, was elected as leader of the Congress Legislature Party at a meeting in New Delhi today (Mar 4, 2005).

Former Chief Minister Bhajan Lal, a strong contender for the post, along with some of his supporting MLAs stayed away from the meeting.
