New Delhi: President A P J Abdul Kalam yesterday (Mar 4, 2005) approved imposition of Central rule in Goa, official sources said.

Kalam's approval came soon after the Union Cabinet recommended imposition of President's Rule in Goa and keep the State Assembly in suspended animation.

The process for issuing a notification by the Union Home Ministry for this has begun, the sources said.
