Sunday, March 6 2005 20:09 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Patna: Defending Governor Buta Singh for recommending President's Rule in Bihar, BPCC (Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee) chief Ramjatan Sinha today (Mar 6, 2005) said it would help improve prevailing law and order and pave the way for development in the State.

"We extend our support to Singh's action. It will help improve law and order situation and pave the way for ushering in a new era of development," Sinha said while reacting to the Governor's decision.

Spotlight: Elections 2005

"Since no combination had the support of 122 MLAs required for majority in the 243-member House, the Governor has acted with utmost caution in keeping with the Constitution," he said.
