Ahmedabad: Six persons were arrested last night (Mar 5, 2005) in connection with the post-Godhra communal riots case in Madhavpura area of the city, officials said in Ahmedabad today (Mar 6, 2005).

"The six, who were absconding from the city for quite some time, were arrested after police got a tip-off that they were in town for some work," sources said.

The accused were involved in rioting, arson and loot in Madhavpura area during the post-Godhra riots and had fled once their names had cropped up during investigation, officials said.
