Srinagar-Jammu National Highway reopens to traffic
Sunday, March 6 2005 11:56 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Srinagar: The Srinagar-Jammu National Highway, closed to traffic due to landslides triggered by incessant rains and snow, was reopened this morning (Mar 6, 2005), official sources said.

The stranded vehicles began moving at 08:45 hrs (IST) after the highway was cleared of snow and stones, they said.

Fresh shooting of stones at Ramsu and Ramsen, some 130 kms from Srinagar, led to closure of the 300-km-long highway yesterday (Mar 5, 2005).
