New Delhi: A post-graduate student of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) allegedly committed suicide at his house in south Delhi late last night (Mar 6, 2005), said the police today (Mar 7, 2005).

Pankaj Aggarwal (25) hung himself from a ceiling fan in his house in Gautam Nagar, where he was staying on rent, police said.

Aggarwal was studying for an MD degree in Radiology at the prestigious institute.

Police said no suicide note had been found so far but Aggarwal was apparently depressed for some time.

Last month, a senior resident doctor of AIIMS had attempted suicide in his hostel room.

On January 24, a doctor of the nearby Safdarjung Hospital had killed himself by injecting some poisonous substance into his body.
