Kolkata HC to hear Birla sisters' fresh application

Kolkata: The Calcutta High Court will hear tomorrow (Mar 9, 2005) an application by two sisters of M P Birla - Radha Devi Mohta and Lakshmi Devi Newar - who filed a fresh petition today (Mar 8, 2005) for appointment of an officer to make inventory of personal belongings of late Priyamvada Birla.

The matter was today mentioned before Justice Kalyanjyoti Sengupta who directed that it would be taken up by Court tomorrow.

The application relates to personal belongings of Priyamvada Birla lying at her residences in Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai and Allahabad, and sought preparation of a list of those materials by the officer.
