The Jharkhand Assembly was once again adjourned, the fifth time during the day, till 3 PM today (Mar 11, 2005) after United Progressive Alliance (UPA) MLAs disrupted proceedings in the House, which is to take up the trust vote of the Shibu Soren Government.
Almost all the UPA MLAs, except Ministers, trooped in the well of the House waving newspaper cuttings and raising slogans against the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and squatted there demanding discussion on the photograph issue.
Despite repeated requests by Pro-tem Speaker Pradeep Kumar Balmuchu, ruling UPA MLAs continued to sit following which, he adjourned the House till 3 PM.
