However, six accused, Adv Rashid Kulkarni, former ACP Mohanmad Mulani, Ajim Telgi, Tabrej Telgi, former ACP Gokul Patil and former MLA from Andhra Pradesh Krishna Yadav, did not appear for the proceedings through video-conferencing, arguing that they wanted to appear before the court.

The main accused Abdul Karim Telgi, urged the court that he should be relocated from the solitary confinement and allowed to mix with other accused, including some of his relatives.

The MCOCA judge S N Shembole asked the jail authorities to communicate the news of extension of judicial custody to other accused who did not appear for the video conferencing.
