Hurriyat leaders can use bus to go to PoK: Sayeed Sunday, March 13 2005 20:18 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Kaman Post (JK):
Hurriyat Conference leaders will be allowed use the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus service, scheduled to start from April 7, to visit Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed said today (March 13, 2005).
"There is no problem. The road is open and whosoever wants to go can go," he remarked when asked by reporters whether the separatist leaders would be permitted to use the route.
He said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh would flag off the first bus from Srinagar to Muzaffarabad.
Sayeed was visiting this frontier post to restoration work along the LoC.
Asked if he would like to go to Muzaffarabad, he said, "Yes...why not?" and added "not this time," as an afterthought.
"Let the divided families meet each other first," Sayeed, said.
