Ranchi: Senior BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) MLA Karia Munda was today (Mar 13, 2005) administered the oath as Pro-tem Speaker on Jharkhand Assembly by Governor Syed Sibtey Razi.

The ceremony, held at the Raj Bhavan in Ranchi was attended among others by Chief Minister Arjun Munda and JDU (Janata Dal United) State unit president Inder Singh Namdhari.

The earlier Pro-tem Speaker Pradeep Kumar Balmuchu had resigned yesterday after the resignation of the Shibu Soren-led UPA (United Progressive Alliance) Cabinet the night before.
