Another quake shakes Maharashtra's Satara district

Satara (Maharashtra): A mild earthquake with its epicentre in Koyna in Satara district again shook Maharashtra today morning (Mar 15, 2005).

The quake, measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale, was experienced at 07:37 hrs (IST), according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

No damage to life or property has been reported.

A moderate quake, measuring 5.1, which also had its epicentre near the earthquake-prone Koyna dam area, jolted several parts of Maharashtra and neighbouring Goa and Karnataka yesterday (Mar 14, 2005).
