Wednesday, March 16 2005 16:07 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: There is no conclusive evidence of adverse health effect of mobile phones on human beings, Communications Minister Dayanidhi Maran said in the Lok Sabha today (Mar 16, 2005).

The World Health Organisation (WHO) was conducting research to identify links between use of mobile phones and its effects, he said during Question Hour.

"However, according to the published literature of WHO and other agencies, there is no adverse effect of the use of mobile phones on human beings," he said when asked whether the Government was conducting any study regarding ill-effects of cell phone on health.
