Producers of film 'Fun' arrested for obscenity

Mumbai: Three persons, who jointly produced Hindi film "Fun", were today (March 17, 2005) arrested on charge of obscenity for allegedly exhibiting objectionable posters across the city, police said.

Senior Police Inspector S B Deshpande told sources in Mumbai that the three producers Surendra Bhatiya, Sudhir Singh and Avinash Kashid were arrested on a complaint lodged by a city-based social activist.

The complaint was filed on March 4, 2005 but the producers had been away from city and were arrested on their return, police added.
