Laloo for action against those trying to control SC Thursday, March 17 2005 10:40 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
New Delhi:
Railway Minister Laloo Prasad Yadav yesterday (Mar 16, 2005) said that action should be taken against whosoever had approached a Supreme Court judge for changing the trial judge hearing the multi-crore fodder scam case against him.
"The judiciary should take action against whoever has done it. We are sad about it and we have total faith in the Judicial system", Laloo told reporters, when asked about the Apex Court's observation that it had been approached by "someone from the High Court" in Patna for changing the trial judge in the case.
Meanwhile, Law Minister H R Bharadwaj said that it was a matter involving the judiciary and the court had not said anything about any Minister.
"One should not infer from the observations of the judges inside the court that they were against or in favour of someone," he said.
