President Kalam condoles 'Gemini' Ganesan's demise

New Delhi: President A P J Abdul Kalam today (March 22, 2005) described former cine star Gemini Ganesan as one of the most famous actors who brought joy and happiness to his fans and cinema viewers through his roles, which were full of passion.

Condoling the death of Ganesan, Kalam in a message to his wife Bobji, said, "Gemini Ganesan was one of the most famous actors who strode across the stage of South Indian cinema".

Kalam said in a career spanning more than half a century, Ganesan "brought joy and happiness to the thousands of his fans and to lakhs of cinema viewers through his roles, which were full of passion and emotion."
