Wednesday, March 23 2005 12:53 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Kolkata: The Calcutta High Court today (Mar 23, 2005) refused to appoint an administrator in the M P Birla group while directing R S Lodha, contender for the group's assets, to maintain a status quo in the group's assets and shareholding.

Justice K J Sengupta in an interim order observed that appointment of an administrator for the M P Birla group of companies is uncalled for at this stage.

Justice Sengupta also directed Lodha that shareholding in M P Birla group companies will not be dissolved.
