Nafitullah intends to restart Best Bakery business Saturday, March 26 2005 18:55 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Vadodara:
Nafitullah Sheikh, a witness in the Best bakery case and brother of prime witness Zaheera, is intending to start the business again and has already moved in the premises, more than three years after the carnage in which 14 people were killed.
Nafitullah, along with his second wife Heena and two children, have started staying in the renovated portion of the Bakery in Hanuman Tekary area alongwith his family for over a month.
"I am tired of changing (rented) houses frequently, so I returned to stay in the renovated portion of Best Bakery. I am also intending to restart the bakery business, Nafitullah told sources in Vadodara.
Nafitullah's first wife, Yashminbanu along with her two-year-old daughter had been staying at the Bakery.
However, Yashminbanu did not return after she left for deposing before the Mumbai special court holding the retrial last year.
A police outpost had been set up near the Best Bakery to prevent any untoward incident. Fourteen persons were killed in the attack on Best Bakery on March 1, 2002 in the post-Godhra riots.
